Instructions for Pear Card:
1. Stamp image onto cardstock
2. Hold up to light source so you can see image on reverse side and lightly trace
the inside line of the image onto the back with pencil.
3. Take a paint brush and dip in water, shake off excess and paint over the pencil
tracing. Let the water soak in for a minute.
4. Now take a stylus and go around outline and fill in the areas you want to look
raised on the front. The water isn't necessary, but I have found that after the
cardstock completely dries it holds the embossed part better.

Cardstock is White Smooth, Dark Mulberry Wine, and Mottled Purple
This card was stamped on smooth white cardstock and embossed. Color the images using
markers for everything except the snow. For the snow and the snowman I used
Pearl Ex paint to give it a little sparkle. For the area
around the snowman scene (that is pink and blue and brown) I sponged on watercolors.
To do this get a small sponge (with small holes) wet and wring out all the excess
water. Now add water to your watercolors so that it is pretty liquidy. Dip
your sponge in the watercolor and dab onto your paper. I did this with a total of 3
colors and just kept changing colors and dabbing on colors until the white was completely
covered with color. Because I embossed it was easy to not have the watercolor bleed
into my design. When this was done the paper was pretty wet and wavy. After it
dried I put it under a heavy book for the night to flatted it back out. When it was
glued to the front of the card it stayed nice and flat.

Instructions for pin:
Take a 1.5" circle of cardboard and swipe the cardboard
randomly with a pink pigment ink pad, a purple one and a gold ink pad. Make
sure to also go around the edge of the piece of cardboard.
Sprinkle the pin with Thick Super Gloss
Embossing powder. (Actually I put the embossing powder in a plastic container
and dip the pin in.)
Heat the embossing powder until it is completely melted and
don't forget to heat the edges of the pin. Be sure to put the pin on a piece of
aluminum foil or a sheet of glossy cardstock or something that can stand the heat but that
the embossing powder won't stick to real well. This embossing powder gets very hot
so don't pick up the pin or touch it for about 20 seconds after heating. The pin should
now look very bumpy and not coated evenly.
Swipe the pin with the 3 ink pads again randomly and don't worry
about getting the same color in the same place that you did last time. The colors
all swirl together anyway. Dip the pin in the embossing powder and heat.
Repeat step 4 one more time. You have now inked and
embossed a total of 3 times. Your pin should be looking nice and smoothly coated by
now and not bumpy any more.
Ink a small stamp such as the butterfly
stamp with gold pigment ink and set aside.
Now swipe the pin one last time with 3 different ink pads, dip
in the embossing powder and heat. When the embossing powder is completely melted and
nice and hot set down your heat gun and pick up your inked up stamp. Now press your
stamp into the hot embossing powder (you have to work pretty quickly so the embossing
powder doesn't start to cool before you stamp.) Leave the stamp sitting in the
hot embossing powder for about 20 seconds. By now the embossing powder is cool and
you can remove your stamp. You have a wonderful 3-D effect where you stamped your
image.
Apply a pin back or magnet to the back of your pin and your are
finished.

Card Handstamped by Lorrie Oreck
Lorrie did a particularly good job with adding dimension to this card. She stamped
the cat on a piece of lightweight cardstock and glued to the black cardstock. Then
she stamped it again on computer paper and cut out just the newspaper. She glued
this to the top of the other stamped newspaper giving it just a little bit of height.
Now she stamped it again on computer paper and this time she added it onto the two
previous layers of newspaper using double sided foam. The three layers of newspapers
really give depth to the card.

Acorn, Maple, Oak and Birch Leaf & Jack O' Lantern Stamps by Creative Images
To make the Jack O' Lantern stamp image on fun foam and cut out. Next take a small
ink cube or cats eye ink pad and ink all over and on sides of the fun foam. Sprinkle
Gold UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) over inked fun foam and heat. Repeat this
process of inking and embossing 3 times. As soon as you are done with the third time
you should have no show through of the fun foam (if you do repeat until you don't).
Now ink your stamp with embossing ink to protect the stamp and stamp your image into the
hot UTEE. The stamp will sink down into the UTEE and leave an impression of the
stamp.
